SC Johnson Cites Progress In Global Energy Reduction Plan

December 16, 2013: 12:00 AM EST
SC Johnson says the five-year plan to reduce its environmental footprint continues apace: it is on track to reach a goal of sourcing a third of its global energy from renewable sources. In the last ten years, the company has launched ten renewable energy projects around the world, including wind power, solar and cogeneration. The company recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of the building of two wind turbines at a factory in Wisconsin. The turbines have cut almost 6,000 metric tons of greenhouse gases and, combined other power cogeneration systems, are the only source of electrical energy at the factory.
